Please use this guide to help you troubleshoot problems you may experience when using AskMoby. The problems you experience may range from the site behaving erratically to Google maps not being displayed properly.

1) Cookies must be enabled.

To enable cookies from Internet Explorer:

1. Open IE and click Tools->Internet Options.
2. Select the Privacy tab.
3. Ensure the vertical slider bar is set to medium.
4. Click Apply.
5. Click OK.

To enable cookies from Firefox:

1. Open Firefox and click Tools > Options.
2. Select Privacy from the top of the Options dialog.
3. Under 'Cookies', ensure that 'Accept cookies from sites' and 'Accept third-party cookies' is enabled.
4. Next to 'Keep until', make sure 'they expire' is selected.

2) Clear the browser's cache. Clearing your browser's cache may resolve the problem you're experiencing.

To do so in Internet Explorer 6.0 or later version:

1. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Click General, if it isn't already selected.
4. Click Delete Files.... under the heading 'Temporary Internet files.'
5. Click OK to exit.

To Clear the cache in Firefox:

1. Open Firefox and click Tools > Clear Private Data
2. Select all of the options and press 'Clear Private Data' now.

3) Make sure JavaScript, ActiveX, and 'binary behaviors' are enabled.

To enable these browser settings in Internet Explorer:

1. Click Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click the Custom Level button.
4. Verify that the Enable button next to 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-in' is selected.
5. If you're using XP, verify that the Enable button next to Binary and script behaviors is selected. If you're not using XP, continue to step six.
6. Verify that the Enable button under 'Active scripting' is selected.
7. Click OK, then click OK again to save your changes.

To enable these browser settings in Internet Explorer:

1. Click Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click the Custom Level button.
4. Verify that the Enable button next to 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-in' is selected.
5. If you're using Windows XP, verify that the Enable button next to 'Binary and script behaviors' is selected. If you're not using Windows XP, continue to step six.
6. Verify that the Enable button under 'Active scripting' is selected.
7. Click OK, then click OK again to save your changes.

4) Add Google Maps and AskMoby.com to your list of trusted sites in Internet Explorer. Here's how:

1. Click Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Select the 'Trusted sites' icon, and click the Sites button.
4. Deselect the option 'Require server verification for all sites in this zone.'
5. In the text field 'Add this Web site to the zone:,' type 'maps.google.com' (without quotes) and click Add.
6. Repeat step five for 'local.google.com,' 'www.google.com,' and '*.google.com.' Also add '*.askmoby.com'.
7. Click OK, then click OK again to save your changes.
